Using Leftover Crewel Thread March 30, 2012 17:32
We found that we had a good amount of crewel thread leftover from our kits. We really enjoy the colors and hate to see them go to waste. So, we made up this design for a project bag. To inspire us, we perused through Katherine Shaughnessy’s The New Crewel: Exquisite Designs in Contemporary Embroidery. We used leftover thread as well as the needles and hoop that came with the original crewel embroidery kit. This was simple enough to do while watching TV and only took an evening to complete. This bag is much more inspiring than storing our projects in bland plastic bags.
